About InsideOsun
InsideOsun is a free civic and safety platform for Osun State — verified news, safety alerts, emergency help, and a way for anyone to report what's happening around them.
We built it because Osun deserves better information than rumour, and because someone who witnesses something dangerous should be able to report it without risking their safety to do so.
What we do
We verify before we publish
Reports submitted through InsideOsun are cross-checked against each other and reviewed by a person before anything appears publicly. Nothing is published automatically.
We label where information comes from
Every item in our feed carries a provenance tag: verified by our team, an official InsideOsun broadcast, or an external headline linking to the original publisher. You always know who is telling you something.
We protect people who report
Reports are anonymous. We do not require an account, a phone number, or a name. We do not store the identity of anyone who submits a report, and precise locations are never shown publicly. We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not identify individuals and are never linked to reports or user identities.
What we don't do
We do not declare election results
INEC is the sole authority for official election results in Nigeria. We publish no vote counts, no projections, and no predictions of who will win.
We do not rank or endorse candidates
Where we list candidates, we list all of them, alphabetically, from INEC's published list.
We do not accept political advertising
InsideOsun does not take sponsorship, advertising, or funding from political parties, candidates, campaigns, or their agents.
Funding and independence
InsideOsun is supported by sponsors who help cover the cost of running the platform. Sponsorship buys a logo in our footer and nothing else. Sponsors have no involvement in what we verify, what appears in our feed, or what we publish. No sponsor sees a report before it is published, and no sponsor can request that something be published or withheld.
If we ever make an error, we correct it publicly rather than quietly.
